As part of the Hyperspace Hoopla at the annual Star Wars Weekends event at Walt Disney World, the Dance-Off with the Star Wars Stars had the Good Guys battle the Bad Guys as Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Boba Fett, and Stormtroopers danced against Chewbacca, Slave Leia, Padme, Ewoks, and other Star Wars characters to songs by LMFAO, Michael Jackson, LL Cool J, Adele, and many other pop hits.
For those who are too lazy to see the whole thing (shame on you) here are the highlights:
Yoga poses spanning the original Star Wars trilogy! A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return Of The Jedi! Poses are demonstrated by Luke Skywalker (with Yoda), Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Princess Leia, R2-D2, C-3PO, and a host of Imperial baddies (Stormtrooper, Biker Scout, Tie Fighter Pilot, Snow Trooper, Imperial Commander).
Finally, the crowd-sourced project has been stitched together and put online for your streaming pleasure. The “Director’s Cut” is a feature-length film that contains hand-picked scenes from the entire StarWarsUncut.com collection.
In 2009, thousands of Internet users were asked to remake “Star Wars: A New Hope” into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. Contributors were allowed to recreate scenes from Star Wars however they wanted. Within just a few months SWU grew into a wild success. The creativity that poured into the project was unimaginable.
SWU has been featured in documentaries, news features and conferences around the world for its unique appeal. In 2010 they won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media.
It kinda reminds me of something……deadly! Nice job Darth….
